Good to know
A little clarity, before you begin.
Answers to your questions about Pill2U, from your first booking to support after your consultation.
Getting started
Is everything really free?
Yes. Your consultation, prescribed pill and delivery are all free. There are no booking or delivery charges. Your pharmacist discusses treatment with you before medicine is supplied.
Can I use Pill2U?
Pill2U is for people aged 18 or over living in England. Whether you’re starting the pill, continuing your current pill or thinking about a change, you can talk through your options with a pharmacist. You don’t need to know which pill you want before booking. Check what to have ready.
How do I book, and when is my appointment confirmed?
Choose an appointment time, answer the health questions and add your contact details. Book as a guest, create an account or sign in. Your time is held provisionally for up to 20 minutes and your appointment is confirmed after you submit your booking. Look for the confirmation before you leave. If the hold expires while your draft is still available, choose another time without starting your answers again.
Can I book without an account?
Yes. Choose guest booking after the health questions and add your contact details to finish. Your appointment is saved and your prescribed medicine can be supplied without an account. An optional account helps with future bookings and keeping your contact details up to date. Existing account holders can sign in during booking.
What are the different types of pill?
Our guides explain the combined pill and the progestogen-only pill (mini pill). You can read about the types, daily routines and questions to discuss with a pharmacist. You don’t need to choose a brand before your call.
Your consultation and privacy
Is my consultation confidential?
Yes. Your consultation is private, and we use your information to arrange and provide your care. Your health answers are not sent to marketing analytics. Choose somewhere you feel comfortable talking when the pharmacist calls. Our privacy notice explains how records are kept, when information is shared and your rights.
How does the consultation work?
Choose a time, complete the online health questions and add your contact details before confirming. A pharmacist calls you at your chosen time to discuss your health, answer your questions and decide which pill is right for you. The questionnaire and phone appointment are separate steps. Allow time to talk through your questions; there is no need to rush. An account is optional.
Can I save my answers and come back later?
With an account, an unfinished booking can be available for up to 24 hours after it starts. Sign in to resume, and check the expiry shown in your booking. As a guest, progress is available in the same browser for up to 30 minutes while you finish; it is not saved to an account. Your chosen time is held separately for up to 20 minutes. On a shared device, use Discard progress before leaving; closing the tab does not clear it.
What if I don’t have a blood pressure reading?
Don’t guess a reading. You can tell us in the health questions if you don’t have it. The pharmacist can explain which measurements are needed before any supply, particularly for the combined pill. Email support@pill2u.co.uk if you need help knowing what to provide.
How is my treatment decided?
The pharmacist reviews your health and explains your options during the phone consultation. You can ask questions and discuss your preferences. If a pill cannot be prescribed through this service, they’ll advise you on other routes to care.
Delivery and ongoing support
How soon will my pill arrive?
Your prescribed pill is delivered free. After treatment approval, we post your medicine using a next-day delivery service. Arrival depends on the dates and times of your consultation, approval and dispatch. For help with a delivery, contact support@pill2u.co.uk.
How do I change my appointment, or get help after a missed call?
Before confirming, you can change your chosen time during booking without losing your answers. For a booking made with your account, sign in to your dashboard to reschedule or cancel your appointment. For guest booking changes or help after a missed call, email support@pill2u.co.uk with your booking reference. Creating an account later does not automatically add earlier guest appointments to it. Support hours are monday–saturday, 9am–6pm. We aim to reply within 24 hours. It may take longer during busy periods.
Can I ask for help after my consultation?
Yes. Email support@pill2u.co.uk with questions about the service, your supply, or any feedback or concerns. Our team is available Monday–Saturday, 9am–6pm. We aim to reply within 24 hours. It may take longer during busy periods. If you need urgent medical help, use NHS 111 rather than waiting for an email reply.
